"black" and "cool" can be switched and the categories still work...

Super easy, I liked it. "Black" and "cool" can fit in either category, though - black cat, black bean, cool cat, cool bean(s).

Chris C
Technically it should be "Schroedinger's"

Seconding the punctuation for "Schroedinger's". Can't speak to having ever seen "cool beans" for sale at the grocer's, so I don't think that's as much of a contender for the category of "beans what you eat" as I'm seeing suggested in the comments. A nice quick wall.

Agree that cool beans is a phrase not a type, and black cat is a type not a phrase so they aren't interchangeable and the grid works. The Pooh group stood out a mile, hot less so but still easy, but it wasn't a faulty grid

AA Milne not accepted for Pooh group?

Very good overall but my only suggestion is to not make all groups "phrases with [word] before" or "phrases with [word] after." I know these are the easiest to make, but variety is good.

A bit too easy for medium? No idea what hot tamale is, but still solved with plenty of time to spare!

Didn't really like the cat one. Is a 'fat cat' a thing? Also, it's schroedinger's cat with apostrophe s, so it doesn't fit with the others

very easy, not many red herrings

Very Easy, managed to complete in 15 seconds

For those of you wondering, “Hot Tamales” are an American candy. “Fat Cat” may also be an American saying. It refers to someone who is both successful and greedy, typically a tycoon or politician.

Schroedinger made that row much easier than it might have been.

All in all, a fun puzzle. Thanks!
