carol: I said 'awt' and was wrong as answer was, exceedingly strangely, 'or'. as a Scot I would say the vowel sound was 'aw' not 'or', and since all the words ended in 't' surely 'awt' is correct. grids are great but the answer ranges are sometimes absolutely awful. I cant understand why no-one else gets quite so annoyed as me with the crazy expected answers!!!! (3 months, 1 week ago)

Redkite: Easy, fun but with bad links (10 months, 3 weeks ago)

no one: answers are not diverse enough to make it worth doing (1 year ago)

toast: Nice idea. In response to your question I don't think you can edit a grid once it is posted. (1 year ago)

squareeyes: Mr Limerick ... yes you're right, thanks for pointing this out, I see that if you had, e.g. an American accent, the definitions would make no sense. Do you know if there is any way of editing the definitions once you've posted the grid? (1 year ago)

MrLimerick: In comparing the members of one group you state that they ‘rhyme’ with ‘or’. They do not. I think it would be correct to say that the vowel sounds are the same. Comparing another group to ‘ow’ would be correct if it was ‘ow’ as in ‘how’ but not ‘ow’ as in ‘slow’ ... that would match the group you have rhyming with ‘oh’. (1 year ago)
